Μια εξέχουσα προσωπικότητα της Ελληνικής Κοινότητας του Μονακό, έφυγε από τη ζωή τον Ιανουάριο του 2022, πλήρης ημερών. Η Αγνή Βαρώτση-Βεργωτή γεννήθηκε στην Αλεξάνδρεια της Αιγύπτου το 1920, το δεύτερο από τα τρία παιδιά του Ιωάννη και της Γαλάτειας Βαρώτση. Μεγάλωσε στην ελληνική κοινότητα της Αλεξάνδρειας, όπου η οικογένεια ήταν ιδιοκτήτρια του περίφημου Windsor Palace Hotel στην προκυμαία της
